Save DAOS Objects For Domino 8.5.0

*** WARNING *** Until BRMS has enhanced the online function to support the new domino 8.5 DAOS function, users need to do the following when saving R8.5 Domino Servers with SAVDOMBRM. The following steps must be taken to enable successful backups of DAOS objects for Domino 8.5.0:

Omit the DAOS directory from the QLNKOMTONL (additional omit list for *LNKOMTONL) or QLTSOMTONL (additional omit list for *LTSOMTONL), For example:

OBJ(('/notes/server/DAOS' *OMIT))

A backup will be required that includes directories that contain the DAOS *.NLO files. For example:

OBJ(('/notes/server/DAOS/vol1/*.NLO))

Use WRKCTLGBRM TYPE(*BKU) option 2 to change the control group *EXIT entries that specify command QNOTES/SAVDOMBRM by adding this omit:

'daoscat.nsf'

If IBM i release 6.1 PTF SI36197 or V5R4M0 PTF SI36193 is not applied on the system, then the following omit must be added to the QLTSOMTONL list using WRKLBRM TYPE(*BKU) option 2:

'daos.cfg'

NOTES:

When doing a recovery of DAOS objects verify the Create parent directories field has been set to *YES in the recovery policy using the Work with Policies using BRM (WRKPCYBRM) command with *RCY specified for the Policy type (TYPE) parameter.
