Duplicating Media of Native OS Saves

It is not possible to duplicate media via BRMS if BRMS does not know about the history of the save in it's BRMS data base. There are numerous ways to get the history of a save into the BRMS data base

  • Native OS saves to BRMS enrolled volume
  • Add media previous saved to to the BRMS data base and then use ADDMEDIBRM or EXTMEDIBRM


However, if save times are exactly the same for different volumes and a DUPMEDBRM VOL(SEARCH) is used, all volumes may not be duplicated. To ensure all media is duplicated when using this option,  users need to make sure saves on different volumes have a different timestamps (WRKMEDIBRM).
