    • WRKMEDBRM Option 7 is used
    • Expiration date is changed to current or past date

NOTES :

  1. In IBM i 7.1 and later, media that has been marked for duplication but has not been duplicated will not be eligible for expiration.  Once the media has been duplicated it will be eligible for expiration.
  2. If a volume doesn't have history and it is not in a media set that is active, it will be expired when STRMNTBRM  EXPMED(*YES) EXPSETMED(*NO) is run.
  3. If a volume doesn't have history and it is in an active media set and STRMNTBRM EXPMED(*YES) EXPSETMED(*YES),  BRMS will expire these volumes and may break the existing set into multiple sets to free up volumes for use.
