Consult this list to find the latest changes to the BRMS Recovery Report

The following BRMS recovery report (QP1ARCY) changes have been made in IBM i 7.2 and later releases:

  • The RSTLIB and RSTOBJ commands under the ‘Recover the BRMS Product and Associated Libraries’ step have been changed to identify whether to use SEQNBR() or OPTFILE() based on the device type used at the time of the backup.

  • The ‘Special Recovery Processing’ steps related to Integrated Server Support for IBM i (SS1 Option 29) will only be printed if Option 29 was installed at the time the recovery report was generated.

  • The ‘Special Recovery Processing’ step related to IBM DB2 Content Manager OnDemand for IBM i will only be printed if it was installed at the time the recovery report was generated.

  • Cloud attention block sections will only be listed if cloud volumes are needed to restore the system.

  • BRMS wiki link references have been updated.

NOTE: To use these changes in IBM i releases 7.2 and later, the following PTFs or their superseding PTFs are required:

  • 7.2 – SI72865

  • 7.3 – SI72866

  • 7.4 – SI72867
