Managing resources in the Administrative Domain

Sorting and filtering monitored resources using the Work with Monitored Resources (WRKCADMRE) command

Filter, sort, and locate MREs

While the Work with Monitored Resources (WRKCADMRE) command display provides options to add a resource to the administrative domain, remove a monitored resource from the administrative domain, or display information about a monitored resource, the command contains filtering and sorting functionality to help users locate and inventory their monitored resources. This is helpful if a PowerHA cluster has an administrative domain with a large number of resources to monitor.

The Work with Monitored Resources (WRKCADMRE) display supports sorting monitored resources. The default sort shows the resources by status. Users can change the sort with the Resource order parameter.

Using filters on the WRKCADMRE command allows users to filter the list of monitored resources based on the following criteria:

  • Monitored resource

  • Library

  • Resource type

  • Global status

Some examples of the filtering parameters:

These filters can be combined together and are usable with generic wild cards such as Q*.

Positioning functions

The WRKCADMRE panel can display large lists of monitored resources. To assist users, the panel supports the following positioning function keys:

  • F7 = Position to

  • F8 = Repeat Position to

  • F17 = Top

  • F18 = Bottom
