IBM PowerHA SystemMirror for IBM i 7.2 with HA 3.6 and 7.4 with HA version 4.4.1 continues to enhance the PowerHA offering bringing new enhancements including:

• Improved control over node selection during switchovers in multi-node device CRG environments

• Guided wizard-based management of session and CRG operations including a new ‘F7 = Change Session’ choice panel on PowerHA session displays

Improved Control over Switchovers

Improved control over node selection during switchovers in multi-node device CRG environments with the following improvements:

• A new 'switch type' parameter on the Change CRG Primary (CHGCRGPRI) command.

• When performing change primary from the Work with Cluster screens, a new selection panel to select the new primary node is displayed.

• When performing change primary from the Work with Cluster screens, a confirmation panel is now displayed indicating the current and new primary node.

Guided Wizard-based Management

Simplified ability to perform actions on a PowerHA session with the following enhancements:

• New F7 = Change session choice selection on the Display ASP Session (DSPASPSSN), Display CSM Session (DSPCSMSSN), and Display SVC Session (DSPSVCSSN) command panels.

• New change session choice selection panel when performing option 22 on the Work with ASP Copy Descriptions (WRKASPCPYD) display.

Additional Enhancements

There are several other enhancements to PowerHA including improvements to Spectrum Virtualize (SVC) based FlashCopy and continued simplification to PowerHA commands.
