In V6R1 and above, support has been added to the Start Backup using BRM (STRBKUBRM) command to honor overrides for the 'Auto duplication' fields, from the media policy specified in the control group 'Media policy for' field, with parameters specified on the STRBKUBRM command.
To enable the auto duplication overrides, run the following commands:
QSYS/CRTDTAARA DTAARA(QUSRBRM/Q1APYOVRDP) TYPE(*CHAR)
QSYS/CHGOBJOWN OBJ(QUSRBRM/Q1APYOVRDP) OBJTYPE(*DTAARA) NEWOWN(QBRMS)
