The transfer operations to the cloud are not owned by the BRMS component. The cloud connection, transfer operations, and transfer performance is managed by the IBM Cloud Storage Solutions for i product. Additionally, any journal receiver maintenance needed for the IBM Cloud Storage Solutions for i product has to be handled separately since this journaling is not part of a BRMS owned process.

When using cloud turnkey control groups as your primary backup strategy for multiple systems, BRMS recommends not adding the systems into a BRMS network. BRMS internally generates unique volume names for turnkey backups and duplicate volume names may be generated when the systems are in restricted state or when the BRMS network synchronization job is not working. BRMS is working to resolve this limitation and remove this recommendation in a future PTFsetting unique volume prefixes.
