In releases IBM i 6.1 and later, BRMS will check 1000 volumes before issuing message BRM148A to indicate that no media is available.
In release V5R4M0, BRMS will check 20 volumes before issuing message BRM148A to indicate that no media is available. The number of volumes checked can be increased to 200 by running the following command:
CRTDTAARA QUSRBRM/Q1AREJVOLS TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(1)
