PowerHA GUI full support
All PowerHA functionality is now accessible through the PowerHA GUI, which is available under IBM Navigator for i. The PowerHA GUI was first available last year, and supported the configuration and management of synchronous and asynchronous geographic mirroring technologies, switched disk, and DS8000 Metro Mirror, Global Mirror, and FlashCopy. Configuration and management of the administrative domain was also included. With this latest release, LUN-level switching for DS8000, SVC, V7000, and V3700 can be configured and managed with the GUI, as well as FlashCopy for SVC, V7000, and V3700, and Metro Mirror and Global Mirror for SVC and V7000. When Metro Mirror and Global Mirror support is available for V3700, it will be available in the PowerHA GUI as well.
The PowerHA GUI now also contains wizards to create and manage IASPs and migrate libraries and IFS directories into and out of an IASP.
The PowerHA GUI can be accessed via IBM Navigator for i at http://systemname:2001. When the PowerHA product is installed on the system, it can be selected on the left panel.
A statement of direction has been issued that the PowerHA GUI will replace both the Cluster Resource Services GUI and the High Availability Solutions Manager (HASM) GUI in the next full release of PowerHA.
